On the evening of May 1, 2012, the City of Kitchener hosted a wonderful event, the Business Heritage Celebration at the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda. Every other year, the City of Kitchener acknowledges significant milestones of organizations of longlasting contribution to the business and social history of the city. The program is provided by the City of Kitchener’s economic development department, on behalf of the Mayor and Council. They recognized companies that achieved 100 years, 75 years and 50 years of continued success. Mayor Carl Zehr presented the award to Golden Windows for 50 years of continued success in the community. Golden Windows was one of eleven organizations to be recognized.
